Mission Statement
The Arizona Setter Rescue Program is a volunteer group of people who diligently work to find new homes for displaced Irish Setters, English Setters and Gordon Setters. Additionally, they strive to educate the public about the breeds. Rescue is all about making sure that we as Setter fanciers do everything possible to take responsibility for the well being of all Irish, English, Gordon and Red and White Setters.

Who We Are
Arizona Setter Rescue began in 1988 with the rescue of an Irish Setter named Danny Boy. He was rescued from the Maricopa County East side pound as a yearling by Pat & Karen Martin. Since that date, Setter rescue has evolved to include all three setter breeds with well over 100 English, 10 Gordons and 140 Irish Setters being placed into new life long homes.

All our animals are spayed or neutered, undergo a vet check and micro-chipped before going to new loving homes. We do a home visit to ensure the safety of the animals. There are several functions during the year that our rescue families are invited to, including A Fun Day in the Park, and the annual Christmas Party held at a local dog park.

AZ Setter Rescue operates under the guidance of the Irish Setter Club of Arizona, Inc and the English Setter Club of Phoenix, Arizona, Inc both Arizona non-profit organizations. All donations of cash and usable dog dog related items graciously accepted.
